Christian Exodus
This movement wants every Christian in the U.S. to move to South Carolina because they have given up trying to promote Christian values at the federal and supreme court level. They say that after 3 decades of trying to do this, and despite the Republicans have control of both the house and senate at the time, abortion and other anti-family policies have not been outlawed. I guess if we were to use the equivalent plan in Canada, most Christians would move to Alberta, the most conservative province in Canada and elect Christians at the local level. If the Supreme Court or the Federal government ruled that they must accept gay marriage or any other anti-family cause, the Alberta government would simply refuse to obey it. If they try to force it on the Alberta government in some way, then Alberta would use the last resort method of separating from Canada altogether. Do you think Christians should resort to this type of method that Christian Exodus is advocating? http://www.christianexodus.org/

I don't think there's a witness to the world if we take ourselves out of the world. But it sure is tempting!!!

crusader- 03-16-2007

Tempting for sure I get really frustrated living in a society that hates what I believe in and ridicules me for my faith , ideas , and political persuasion. To have a country for christians like Jewish people have with Israel would be a welcome thing , but as you point out NGU we mustn't take ourselves out of the world.

Constitution Party Liaisons CE needs members who will participate in their local Constitution Party (CP). Our CP Liaisons are charged with promoting Christian Exodus to their fellow CP members, encouraging them to move, if possible, to South Carolina and build the CP there. Are they affliated with the Constitution Party?

Our CP Liaisons are charged with promoting Christian Exodus to their fellow CP members, encouraging them to move, if possible, to South Carolina and build the CP there. Are they affliated with the Constitution Party? The organization is non-partisan, but a lot of the individual members are Constitution Party members.

You can listen to this video (episode 3 of 6 on their website) that tells what they are all about. It's a series of small interviews on various news stations. video

Personally, I believe that unless a country is suffering from widespread abuses from which there is no remedy, separatism is against the natural law, and against the fourth commandment. A country is an extension of the family; when you renounce your country, you renounce your family. I don't think it's a social conservative value.

The (US) Constitution Party is Neo-Confederate.
Ferial Thursday in the Week of Trinity VIII, Dear Friends, The Constitution Party is a thinly-veiled Neo-Confederate entity, more concerned about continuing the "Southern Cause", than the Cause of Christ. Many KKK leaders highly recommend the CP! The 2004 CP TV ads always featured Confederate flags and portraits of Generals Lee & Jackson (a fifth cousin of mine, I confess with no pleasure). The CP despises the British Heritage and Constitutional Monarchy. Hence, they condemn Hamiltonian Federalism (Washington, Adams, Hamilton, Jay, Marshall, Quincy Adams, especially LINCOLN, Grant, McKinley, T Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Reagan, the Bushes, et al.) as they extoll Jeffersonian Libertarianism (yet many of them defend Negro SLAVERY). The CP is a continuation of the Southern States Rights parties -- and therefore sometimes publiclly contemplates secession (CE?) in order to revive the tyrannical & treasonous Southern Confederacy. The CP would be an acceptable Christian political party, were it not for the Confederate tainting. Moreover, revolution or secession are options of last resort for Christians only under conditions of tyranny -- when God's Laws have been denied by false government. Thus, the American Revolution was hardly justified (although there were just grievances, and the Biblical principals of the Declaration of Independence are correct -- e.g., the Lutheran Magdeburg Confession of 1550). As for the Southern Confederacy's Secession in the US Civil War -- it was nothing but rank un-Godly and unconstitutional rebellion. Being a Southerner myself (A native US citizen from Texas) -- I had the opportunity to debate the CP VP candidate, The Rev. Dr. Chuck Baldwin, in my former venue of Pensacola, Florida. Chuck and I debated in the press for about two years -- until Hurricane Ivan relocated my family and I to Ohio. While I remain a loyal US citizen (and a US Marine Corps veteran), I have been a Canadian/British American Loyalist at heart since childhood. The CHP IS what the CP SHOULD BE! Vote CHP! In Christ's Love,

Although South Carolina is a tempting destination for someone with as little use for winter as I, the idea of separatism goes against everything The Way ever stood for. My read on things is that the main reason we are here is FOR THEM. By "them" I mean the unbelieving people of the world who are out there hurting, and looking for answers (in all the wrong places). It's our duty to be salt and light in the world, and salt does nothing whatsoever until it is mixed in with the other ingredients. We need to explain God's love by showing it. That doesn't mean letting sin slide, but rather letting people know that they are loved by their creator in spite of their sin, and that they can choose to turn away from their sin, and that we welcome them with open arms. Imagie a church where we were to get up, like in an AA meeting, and say, Hi, my name is so-and so, and I'm a liar.... my name is such and such, and I'm an adulterer... etc. It would help us remember where we came from, and perhaps we would be less judgmental toward other sinners, and they might be better equipped to accept the forgiveness and new life that is offered. I'm not seriously suggesting that the church go that route, but it would do us all, and the world we are called to serve, a favour to always remember where we cam from in orddr to keep our humility. One of the most ubiquitous accusations I hear about christians is that we are snotty, arrogant, self-righteous and holier than thou. What if we came across as we really are? Nothing more than beggars telling other beggars where to find bread?

Christian Exodus only recommends separation as a last resort. In the meantime, they want to have lots of socially conservative Christians there so that they can have more influence over municipal and state elections. I know of the Constitution Party. They seem very similar to CHP, but I also know they have been going through problems with Mormons and the abortion issue. It's difficult to recommend my American friends a Christian political party because there are so many of them. They really need to be more united so that they can make more of a difference.

This election may be what does the trick. The two most likely GOP nominees are Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney, both of whom are not exactly on the Christian Conservative Christmas card list. It may well happen that a new third party may arise, but more likely after this vote. ChristianConservatives WILL hold their noses and vote for either Romney or Giuliani if Hilary Clinton wins the Dem nomination. If Obama wins, or Gore, all bets are off. The Conatitution Party seems to be falling apart ...didn't they have a schism last year? In any case, I think Christians need to be more open to Latter Day Saints, who despite some of their other beliefs do believe that Jesus Christ is the path to salvation, and that he was the the unique Son of God , sacrificed for our sake to take away the sin of the world. MAke no mistake abut . there will be no truly Christian alternative that is viable this time around. Hillary must be stopped and most people realize that.

The US Political Landscape And The Christian Vote.
Ferial Friday in the Week of Trinity VIII, 08-03-2007 Dear Friends, The Constitution Party is not even a blip on the US radar screen, and most Christians have not considered the Constitution Party an option because of it's Confederate aspects. But I am unaware of any major schism in the CP. What is the CP division over abortion, I thought they were 100% Pro-Life? And why would there be any CP consideration or disagreement over Mormonism? Mormons are too small of a minority to factor into any political problem -- with the exception of the West. The CP likes Ron Paul (actually a Libertarian) out of the Republican candidates. As for Romney -- his primary deficit is his voting record in favour of abortion, homosexuality, and other so-lib issues. Most Christians do not trust Romney, and he is losing ground to Thompson (who is currently tied with Giuliani in polls). Romney's Mormonism is a secondary demerit, and Christians can hardly regard it favourably. As for Mormonism, it is not a Christian denomination. Among other departures from the Christian Faith -- Mormons believe that God was once Man, that Men will become Gods, that Christ is NOT one with the Father and God, that Christ does not (and if He is not God He cannot) save us by Grace through Faith alone -- but that we are saved by works, etc. Mormonism has much in common with Mohammedanism. For more information on Mormonism as a false religion, go to the following Christian site and navigate to the topic from LCMS> FAQs> Denominational Differences> Other Denominations> Mormons: www.lcms.org Christians are somewhat divided, confused, and worn-out down here in the US. The Republican Party is quietly becoming more socially liberal, with homosexuals in the RP carefully advancing their anti-Family/anti-Life agenda in cooperation with other so-libs. Yet despite serious flaws, President Bush has won more so-con victories than President Reagan -- Pro-Life progress (e.g., two committed Supreme Court Justices -- one the Chief Justice), Pro-Family promotion(e.g., despite his tolerance toward homosexuals, he promoted the Defence of Marriage Act), Promoting Faith-Based Initiatives, Promoting the Temporal Israel, the Military and the War On Terrorism, etc.. Fred Thompson is gaining in the polls as the leading so-con Republican non-candidate candidate -- he may officially toss his hat into the ring by autumn (his delay has helped him). Currently, my family and I support Duncan Hunter, the most conservative Christian candidate in the race -- but far behind Thompson and Giuliani so far. There is no room for complacency, but Christians in each nation must contend for Christian government -- even as massive apostasy increases unabated in Church and State, before Christ's Return at the Last Day. Our hope and joy is in knowing that our victories are not as the World thinks -- but as Christ has Triumphed in Time & Eternity! In Christ's Love,

A lot of state parties disaffiliated with the national CP when they voted to retain the Nevada leader who openly admitted to supporting exemptions to abortions for rape and incest since that is what his Mormon church teaches.

CP Schism
Ferial Saturday in the Week of Trinity VIII, 08-04-2007 Dear Jemdude, Thanks for your good information. I did some catching-up research on the CP this morning. What the US needs is an American CHP. God Bless! In Christ's Love,

Jemdude- 08-04-2007

You're welcome Fr. Philip Mullen. Some former CP members have joined the American Heritage Party. Michael Anthony Peroutka, the CP 2004 presidential candidate, is no longer a CP member.
