This man needs your prayers.
An acquaintance of mine, Montreal broadcaster Patrick Letang of 940 Montreal, recognized as the best business reporter in the city has been off the air since February. Now we know why. Patrick has been hit with cancer, and is sharing his story in a blog (http://www.940montreal.com/blog_letang/) he has recently started. I sincerely hope that Patrick will be able to join the ranks of survivors, but his case will be a real uphill climb, at best. Reading his posts brings home a sense of how fragile life really is, and educates people and helps prepare them, inasmuch as that is possible for what to expect on a day that may very well come for them too. reading a sobering story like this helps one to get focussed on the priorities that really matter in this all to brief life. Let's get him on all our prayer lists.

He will be in my prayers. A member of my family just had an operation to remove cancer. Thank God it was caught early.

Pat's facing a real uphill climb. He wrote the pain and other symptoms off to flue for too long, and it metastasized on his liver. The good news is that they are at least attempt to treat him, instead of dispatching him home to make arrangements.
